Halloween

Players raring to play a video slot based off of one of the most enduring slasher/horror movie franchises in Hollywood would do well to check out Halloween. Developed by Microgaming, this video slot features characters and symbols from the 1978 horror movie of the same name. While the video slot is based off of a franchise that started nearly 40 years ago, its unique gameplay and features make it one of the most innovative in the industry today. Since this is a Microgaming-developed title, players should have no problems playing the video slot on either regular computers or their mobile devices (provided these support HTML5 content).

Halloween (Microgaming) Slot Data

At first glance, players would think that Halloween is like a run-of-the-mill video slot with 5 reels and 3 rows. While it does have 5 reels, only 2 of these will have 3 rows. The other 3 reels make up the Wandering Reels. As their names imply, these reels move around in one of 3 positions during a spin. Each position has 50 unique betting lines to give players a total of 150 (as with most video slots, these pay from left to right). Additionally, it also has a unique feature called Jumbo Blocks. These are large versions of the 4 high payout symbols that can span multiple rows/blocks and improve players’ chances of winning. Other than this, the video slot also has a Wild symbol that can substitute for all symbols other than Bonus. As for the Bonus symbol, the appearance of 3 of these will automatically trigger the Trick or Treat Wheel Bonus. Players can get cash prizes that can go as high as 10x the total bet or trigger other bonus features. One of these is the Boogeyman Bonus that is activated when the wheel stops on the Michael Myers symbol. For this bonus game mode, players will need to pick a maple leaf to uncover cash prizes, a knife symbol, or Michael Myers. On the other hand, the Free Spins game mode is activated if the wheel stops on a character symbol other than Michael Myers. Free Spins doesn’t differ much from the regular game other than the character symbol that triggered it being featured prominently for the duration of the game mode.

As for setting bets, this is relatively simple. Players can set the Coin Size and Coins Level to bet as little as $/€.50 or as much as $/€200 per spin. As for its RTP, Microgaming set it to a generous 96.01%.

Halloween (Microgaming) Slot Theme

Microgaming’s Halloween video slot obviously draws inspiration from the seminal slasher movie it was based on. The video slot’s symbols as well as its background are in 3D and they all look stunning. It’s not just the characters from the movie that make the video slot nostalgic. Players who grew up watching this movie (as well as its sequels) will get a kick out of hearing the scary background music that might have caused them plenty of sleepless nights.

Where to Play Halloween (Microgaming)

If they can’t wait to bet real money on Halloween then players should definitely check out online casinos such as Betsafe, 32Red, LeoVegas, and Guts Casino. It’s important to note though that as of now, the video slot is still limited to these brands. With that said, players shouldn’t have to wait long to have the title in their favorite online casino (provided it uses Microgaming’s platform or its casinos games).
